Frente al estilo francés moderno que presenta la casa del Conde de Bugallal , Antonio Palacios quiso contrarrestar la visión de un edificio totalmente de influencias extranjeras. Para ello, Introdujo una torre que recordara al arte mudéjar hispano, como por ejemplo la torre de la Iglesia de San tirso , en Sahagún (a la derecha), pero con una reinterpretación mas moderna.
